About Lamma Island
Lamma Island is the third largest outlying islands in Hong Kong, situated only 3km off the south-west coast of Hong Kong Island and it takes only 30 minutes by ferry from Central. Although it is just over 13 km2 with a population of around 6,000 people, Lamma is rich in green hills and beautiful bays. This is one of the reasons why Lamma is popular for Hong Kong people to chill and relax on weekends and attracted a large number of Europeans, who value the peace and quiet of the rural lifestyle of Lamma, to live here.
Like the other outlying islands, Lamma has no cars that benefit in the fresh air and clear water. You can enjoy the beautiful beaches by coastal walking and explore the extraordinary scenery from country park trails. Absolutely not to be missed the fresh seafood here.
